CTET July requirement 2024:If you’re interested in becoming a teacher for primary or junior levels, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for July 2024. You can apply online for Paper I (for teaching classes 1 to 5) and Paper II (for teaching classes 6 to 8) from March 7, 2024, to April 2, 2024.

CTET July requirement 2024:Application Fee

Type of Exam General / OBC / EWS SC / ST / PH
For Single Paper Rs. 1000/- Rs. 500/-
For Both Paper (Primary / Junior) Rs. 1200/- Rs. 600/-


Eligibility with Code July 2024:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

    Eligibility with Code July 2024:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Additionally, a person pursuing any of the teacher education courses specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also eligible to appear in the TET/CTET.
  • Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
